Patrick L. Chapman, a member of the Academy of the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at Missouri S&T and CEO of Stormentum, has been elected to the prestigious National Academy of Engineering (NAE) on February 11. This election is one of the highest professional honors bestowed upon American engineers.

Chapman is a graduate of Missouri S&T’s ECE Department, holding both a BS and MS degree. With more than 75 patents and numerous publications to his name, his election to the NAE underscores his exceptional contributions and innovative impact in the field of engineering.

Founded in 1964, the nonprofit National Academy of Engineering is part of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. The NAE has over 2,800 peer-elected members and international members, consisting of leading professionals in business, academia, and government who are among the world’s most accomplished engineers. The Academy provides expert advice on engineering and technology-related matters to the nation.
